When new owner Jeremy Byrd took over the Clear Lake franchise he promised to improve on the teams showing last season and to bring in new players to build on the exceptional young talent they have in Howard, Zimmerman, Martin, Victorino and Broxton in the pen. Rumors are suggesting that Clear Lake has drasticly improved their bullpen while adding a power right-handed slugger to the lineup.

The team admits they still need some ab's in the outfield and may look to free agency for that.
