Mass Mayhem At Gilroy Garlic 4/14/2006
Miguel Cabrera homered and had 2 RBI as the Mass Mayhem topped the Gilroy
Garlic by a score of 4 to 3 at Turner Field. 
Mass tallied 2 runs in the top of the 6th inning. Placido Polanco led off and
keyed the rally when he smacked a single. Cabrera was next and he delivered
a single. Brad Halsey then had one get away for a wild pitch bringing in a
run.  Mark Teixeira came up and he reached on an error. Miguel Olivo dug
into the batters box next, but he struck out. Aaron Boone added to the
uprising and reached on an error scoring the final run of the inning. Mass
had only 4 hits for the night.
Chris Capuano(1-0) went 7 and 2/3 innings allowing 3 runs for the win. B.J.
Ryan recorded his 1st save. Halsey(1-1) was the losing pitcher. He
surrendered only 4 runs and 4 hits in 7 innings.
